If you’ve ever wanted to live exclusively on bitcoin, head to Lugano, Switzerland.
The Plan foundation just announced a new map on Twitter that shows the hundreds of establishments in the city who accept bitcoin. “Now you can live in Lugano with only Bitcoin!” read the tweet. “Find everything you need to enjoy your vacation in Lugano by using the map with all of Lugano’s Plan merchants.”
Plan is a city project co-created with Tether to attract wealth, talented minds, and opportunities. Lugano’s proposal included establishing bitcoin de facto legal tender, which was declared in March 2022.
This was followed by the introduction of the Plan Summer School, a learning opportunity for anyone interested in learning more about bitcoin and business that will take place in July 2022. The school featured renowned speakers such as Blockstream CEO Adam Back.
