According to reports, Twitter is developing “Twitter Coin” and monetization features. The “Coins” part of the “Tips” settings’ hidden menu was discovered by app researchers Nima Owji and Jane Manchun Wong on Twitter. Earlier, Elon Musk made a suggestion about using Dogecoin (DOGE) for Twitter payments.
Uncertainty surrounds the use of Dogecoin or any other currency for Twitter Coin. Following the news, the price of Dogecoin soared by approximately 6%, reaching a high of $0.111.
The instructions for activating the function and verifying the changes were also made public by Jane Manchun Wong. Additionally, neither “Twitter Tips” nor “Twitter Coin” are defined in the code, nor is it made apparent whether they are connected to Musk’s preferred meme coin, DOGE.
